Hi @lucaspalm! I understand your hesitation after Rickard's horror story, but fortunately the technology has developed enormously since 2001.
The old large lamp pots were often the source of leaks, but today's flat LED lamps often only require a simple lead-through (like an inlet) which significantly minimizes the risk. Rickard's idea of an LED strip under the rim is great for the atmosphere, but keep in mind that lighting in the water is also a safety factor for seeing the bottom during evening swims.
